installed Radar detectors
I have a 2001 convertible and would like to build in a radar detector. Tried the Whistler Pro 3600 and the unit itself is two big to fit anywhere in the front of the car. It stuck out about two inches in front of the car. So it was removed. Apparently, there is no problem with any other year, but the 2001. Does anyone know of a unit that can be installed and won't protrude? The escort could be made to be ok, however, I really don't want to spend in excess of a grand for the unit and then have installation on top of that. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

V1 has remote sensor options. If you want to know where the radar/laser is coming from, V1 has no equal.
