Oh the noise! I can listen to radio on highway now.
I'm cussing how stupid I was not to do this the day I got the car.
I was on a section of 476 and it had just been paved. Real fresh smooth black top. The 2003 was so quiet that you could hear the wind rippling at the 'a' pillers. and just the burble of the Corsa "Pace Car" exhaust out back. First time since new that it's been that quiet.
I am running the Nitto Invos, and i absolutly love them, amazing traction in dry and pretty good in the rain too. I recently took my 2000 Targa to Road America and pulled 80MPH in the carousel and did not have any tire squeal. and they are quiet on the highway.
Nitto Invos, great all around tire for almost half the price if pilot sport cups
Sadly that has been my experience with EVERY GoodYear tire. I have never purchased a set, but they end up as OEM because they are the cheapest supplier. My F1 Supercar tires are terrible. I'd love to sell them but there is no market. The rears are unfortunately almost new (previous owner installed them). I don't see how GoodYear stays in business, except for the OEM market keeping them going.
