Congrats on getting your first Vette. Hope you get lots of enjoyment from the car.
I know how you feel about just going out to the garage to look at the car - I still do the same thing and I've had mine for three years (and it's my 9th Vette).
Yup...my first post 'cause its my first Vette! Wow! Finally made it to this new season of life! Been motorcycle touring for a long time...now we have the C5 Coupe we've been looking for. A Torch Red 01 with 27k miles on it! Heck, I was up at 4:30 in the morning peeking in the garage to see if it was really there! YES...NOT A DREAM...IT WAS THERE! I look forward to learning from you all!
Congrats!!! You're happiness just made me happy. When I got my first one I had to keep peaking outside to make sure it was really there too!
Gosh...I peek at this forum this morning and am overwhelmed at the people "waving" at me...not to mention the great info and links! Thx 6Genvettes and the rest of you! Now how could I have forgotten to show her off. I'll figure out this picture thing and get some posted.

Welcome to the forum and DON'T do anything without asking the forum first. No kidding - in the 4 years I've been here I've seen more new Vette owners do some real bonehead stuff to their car because they didn't ask for info from the Corvette Forum.
Everything that can be done, repaired, modified, etc has already been done. This forum is better than any manual ever written on a car. Use the Search function, it is your friend!!
In the C5 tech section there is the C5 Godfather - Bill Curlee. If he posts it it is gospel - read through the "Stickys" they are a wealth of knowledge. Others like EvilTwin, Vetteman Jack, Toque, and a handful of others also know everything about this car.

Nice ride. I think most of us still get that wow feeling. It's nice to see your hard work pay off isn't it. I think that's as much a pleasure as the car itself. Well almost anyway!
