Default remote lock

is there anything i can do to get better range to unlock the car? the FOBS batteries are maybe 7 or 8 months new, yet it should be able to reach further than 25 feet away...No?

thanks Joe

Install a Viper alarm/remote start system and then unlock/start with your phone from the next state if you want!

Put the end of the fob against your neck below your chin, open your mouth facing the car and press the unlock button. Test and report back how much additional range you get.
Just curious though, why do you need more than 25 feet to unlock your car? Are you one of those people who turns off the light switch on the wall and gets to the bed before the room gets dark?

^^^ Believe it or not, this does work. You will get a little more distance if you have dental fillings.

I was serious, it increases the range a lot. If you think not, try it. You can do it while no one is watching and you'll be surprised how much it increases.

Agreed, it definitely works. Put the fob next to your jawbone, I find I get the best range with it horizontal and the keychain hole pointing behind me. It just about doubles your range.

Do you look kind of ridiculous? Yeah. But if for some reason you just really have to have another 20 feet, this will work.

Check with a Viper dealer but I think any of the new models can add this option. Works with any Droid or Iphone.

YW
Also to let you know it works quite well. My wife had this in her TBSS and I used to have it in my old Tahoe.

I even tested it from Vegas to my house in Colorado, lol.

Yes, the fob should work more than 25 feet away. At least mine does.
