Default Lithium Battery

Is anyone using one of those light weight Lithium batteries in their car? I saw them featuring one on a Two Guys Garage episode. They look expensive........ But super light weight. Also they are supposed to have a really long duty cycle and a built in power backup. It kinda piqued my interest.

I know some guys on the motorcycle forums that use them, but of course motorcycle batteries are a lot cheaper.

Lithium batteries would be great for a C5. They hold their charge for a very long time (several months without a need for a battery tender). Not to mention they weigh about 1/4 as much as a lead-acid battery.

Have never really seen any posts about someone using one here on the forum, but it does sound interesting.

I used a drycell in my streetrod. Very compact and didn't have to worry about it leaking as it was in the trunk.

Expensive though..

I thought there was a certain reserve charge that our C5's had to have. Do these new batteries contain the right specs??

I'm out of touch on this one. I haven't seen any discussions on the C5 Forum.
