Installed my Duraflex vortex chin spoiler and side skirts this weekend. I ordered from QuikZ06 here on the forum.
The peices arrived in a black gelcoat, and very little sanding was needed. Fitment was good.
I sprayed them flat black.
So far, no scraping. The skirts are just slightly higher than my frame rail guards.. very very slightly higher.
Very nice! I like the garage floor too! A garage make-over is my next mod.
How do the side skirts work/install with the frame rail savers? I thought they used the same mounting holes?

Thanks. The floor is actually a cheap plastic floating floor. its about 3 years old now, but it's held up pretty well. Sorry, i forgot where i bought it online.
The skirts extend under the car to just before where the Frame Savers are. You won't have to move them at all.
The skirts get fastened to the fiberglass. I used screws, but i've seen people use rivets.
I've never been a fan of sideskirts, probably because I think the Honda guys have overused them, but I really like the look of them on your car. The contrast of the flat black looks mean, good choice. Definitely something I want to do to my car in the future.
NICE. I've got the same stuff from him but in carbon fiber. Haven't gotten them on the car yet, but seeing yours afirms my decision. Mine is a TR '99 FRC so the look will be the same. Again good job.
Looks great! Question: How flexible is the Duraflex dam? Do you think it will last longer than a rigid fiberglass one - put up with an occassional grounding?

I would have gotten the Carbon Fiber but they were out.
Still pretty happy with these.. for now

There are some utube videos out there that show how flexible this duraflex is. I was pretty surprise how flexible it was. I'm pretty confident i can sustain some scrapes and bumps. One reason i went with flat black is so i can touch it up whenever i have a mishap or stone chip.
Look great. Flat black contrasts very well with the Red. I am also doing side skirts in Duraflex. I am considering the Vortex front lip, but I was wondering about the size of the opening between the bottom of the front bumper and the top of the Duraflex lip. In MD you still have to have a front plate, but I have the tunnel mod where the front plate resides. I bought an electric remote hide-a plate slide out license plate and was wondering if it would fit in that opening. Do you know how tall the opening is? If it is tall enough I am going to buy the front lip spoiler. Also, is that a bottom rear fascia cover on the rear of your vette or is it painted?

You've got 1" to work with. Thats the distance between the top of the opening of the lip and the bottom of the bumper. Aci makes a similar lip with a larger opening, but the trade off is its much lower and closer to the ground.
The rear fascia is a cover. It was a way overpriced mod. Something like 400. Just attached with double sided tape. Should be easy to remove if I get bored.

Not sure but it sounded like he did. It wasa smooth transaction and they arrived very well protected.
Thanx for the measurement and the reference to ACI if I need to go that route. Do you recall where you purchased the rear fascia cover? I'm retired and have the mod bug (interior/exterior/engine) for this 2000 vert and want to spend my retirement on things I NEED. LOL.
