Thanks, the bad part though is that winter is coming up quick and in wisconsin, you wont be able to sell a car like this in winter. which pretty much lasts 5 months. one of our daily drivers just took a bad turn. our credit card is maxed out, and we have nothing saved up. So I can't really sit on it too long.
I think the problem is the mileage. Everyone sees that and cringes. apparently corvettes can't have over 20,000 miles. lol. even though everything is awesome on it. and pretty much new.
Your car is awesome and it's obvious that you've done a lot of work to it. In my opinion however, removing the driver airbag and emissions and also having a lien on the title will severely hurt your chances of getting solid offers.
16 grand may be pushing it. I'm not trying to offend you, this is just my opinion.
Good luck to you! Hope you can get back on your feet soon!
I would think with your northern location that the time of year is going to hurt your chances of finding "the" buyer. I am going to say $12k to sell it. It's worth more to you and many others who just aren't in a position to buy.

If i had the money id certainly buy that car for 16 and id take some of those mods off and put them on my z then sell it. That being said, i see 2 good choices for you. Sell it for less (12-13k) and be done with it or put it back to stock and sell for 12-13 and sell your upgrades separate. unfortunately, i think that is going to be your price range for that year and those miles modded or not. I really like your car and it may be worth 16k, but i just dont see you getting close to that. Good luck though.
150k miles limits your buyers to yourer guys, that also cant get loans. De mod the car bring it back to stock and take any decent offer. Not worth much w 150k m iles.
For one thing, when an add says "needs freon" I see "needs complete ac replacement". I know you have a lot of mods but thats a lot of miles.
I agree get the AC fixed. A high mileage car can still be sold
but the buyer wants a car that does not need repairs. Yours
looks good what ever is wrong with it fix it --alot of states have
inspections and your vette will have to pass.
Good luck.
Come down a $1000.
Man, I know exactly how you feel. I've got 152k miles on mine. New motor and trans going in in the next month. I know I'll never see my money back out of it.
That purple is just beautiful and you have very tasteful mods. Wish you could keep it.
I suggest you try to advertise to a larger audience. Ebay(classified ad), autotrader, cars.com... etc. Fix the little things like a/c and wiring... (being from Texas, I wouldn't look at a car that didn't have functioning a/c) I think you can get your asking price, but you will have to find that one particular buyer that thinks your car is perfect.
i have the car on autotrader also, 115 views of my ad, not one person looked at my contact info though. but autotrader is TERRIBLE. you are limited in the amount of characters you can use, and its just one big paragraph with no breaks or anything. so it just looks terrible. I'm thinking of putting it on ebay.
$14,500 seems like a damn good price, for whats in it, and how clean it looks. I LOVE that color, btw. Looks like you keep very good care of it, as well.
Sorry about your financial woes but I guess it is a sign of the times. What I mean by my previous post is that if some of your mods have only 30k or less than I would say so, not just what is on the odometer. Otherwise prospective buyers may think that the whole car, mods included, have 150k on them. Maybe I think differently than you, but neverthelss, GLWS.
