I just purchased a Torch Red 1998 C5 with 90,000 miles on it. location was an hour and a half from where I live so got a chance to experience the car for a while. This is my second Corvette previous one was a C4, a 1984, and I have had a few performance cars,F-bodies and even a Mustang GT. Well since I brought the new car home I really have not had a chance to drive it,weather and work have been working,against me. Today was a beautiful fall day here in Mass so I decided to play hooky and take a mental health day, I had an early breakfast and headed out in the car. had no real destination so I just found some two lane roads and drove. I cannot believe what a combination of power, handling and comfort all in one package this car is. Stopped a couple of times for coffee and once for lunch, put about a hundred and fifty miles on the car and then came home. Even got my first wave ! This car is awesome,will post pictures as soon as I can.
