Rear ended, advice?

Rear ended, advice?
All,
Got bumped by a dodge ram tonight. I was sitting still, guess he was going 3-5 mph and ran square into the back of me. I thought my bumper would be toast but it all seemed to bounce back. Very minor scuffs at the bottom I can buff out.
I would prefer not to deal with insurance/police if it is just damage I can buff out. Question is do I have to worry about anything behind the bumper cover being seriously hurt? I have not had it off so dont know what is inside. Seems are all straight. Impact was too soft to take out the crumple zones in any way.

There is a piece of crash absorbent foam behind the fascia. I'd definitely get at least that checked out - and probably get the whole car checked over just to be sure.
