Default first time on the 1/4

Alright so I finally had the opportunity to take my 03 z06 to a 1/4 mile track. First of all being stationed here in Germany there isn't too many to choose from and this one just happens to be at an airport and it's a taxi way closed down. There is no prep whatsoever. Well not to be over confident but I feel as if i'm a pretty good driver and have always been able to push my older vehicles on the track. Well I was able to do three passes and the best I could get was a 13.3X at 108 mph. My car is completely stock. Due to the lack of track prep i couldn't pull more than a 2.4 60ft, which I know is horrible. Any inputs on this? Is it the track, my driving ability, possibly a loss of power somewhere or all of the above.

What is the DA there? I'd be concerned about the trap speed...that's pretty low for a C5Z.

A 2.4 60 ft is horrible. But a 108 mph is really low for a c5z too. Does your car feel like its not running right or were you not pushing it that hard? You really need a set of dr's to get a good 60. I'm picking up a used pair and running mine for the first time next month.

I'm assuming the car is running right. I've only had it for a month so who knows. It feels like its pulling pretty decent but a tad bit "restricted".

I bet it's fine. Have fun with it and practice and the mph will go up and the et down.
Read up on some of Rangers tips for starters.

For some perspective, I took my near stock 02 Z to the track a couple weeks ago for the first time. Track wasn't the greatest (*** end kicked out hard going into 4th my first pass). I was running 13.2s at 109 with 2.2 60 ft. I'm in dire need of the driver mod.

Possibly knocking while you were going down the track. Bad gas?

I make it a priority to log whenever I'm at the track. :-)

You know the Nurburgring is in Germany too. . . were you able to bring the car with or did you buy it there and pay out the ***? Japan won't let you bring in your American iron unless it's super old and even then it's a PITA.

I was actually just at the 'ring today. Car did fairly well but man was that place crazy packed today. I didn't bring the z with me from the states. When I got here I ordered a 2012 5.0 brand new and after 11 months I sold it to a German for what I paid for it new and found my z in a garage on another base. The previous owner didn't have time for it.

Sorry the times were off but glad to hear you're getting out and enjoying the car!
