Ok, I had a bad CV Boot, I replaced the axel along with a new axel seal. I am still leaking. I get an oil splatter all over the rear end around the tail lights, and approx. 20 dripps on the garage floor. any idea how to fix this issue?
Thanks for the help
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue, I will be putting it in the air in a few hours. The car is a 00 coupe with M6, the seal is on the drivers side, looks to be leaking from the new seal area but will have a closer look soon.
Thanks

Pay particular attention to #17 in regards to where the original poster purchased his aftermarket axle from & which ended up being the culprit of his leak at the axle seal.

I had a '00 MN6 car too and had the rear differential seal leak three times. On one of the occasions, the dealership replaced the cover plate as they said there was a TSB on them (something about them being too porus and prone to leakage). If the seal wasn't set in the cover just right, it may lead to leakage also.
Here's some files that talk about the rear differential seal leaks. I have a few other ones also, but they are too large to attach here on the forum. If you'd like a copy of them, just PM me your e-mail address.
