Default Lower control arm ball joint nut problem...

The the nut that ties together the lower control arm ball joint to the hub assembly(roughly), its a 2001 c5, i had to replace the the hub and bearing assembly and to do so had to take this nut out and drop the control arm. well after getting it off with no problem now the threads spin with the nut? and there is no bottom bolt(I think). same for both sides. Help!!!

need to use an allen wrench in the end of the ball joint bolt to hold it while you use a wrench on the nut to tighten.

In the photo it shows the removal/installation of a tierod end. You do the same for the ball joint. The allen wrench prevents the threads from spinning.
