Default Ls7 Clutch Review

Picked up the car today. Installed an updated ls6 master cylinder and slave cylinder, a remote bleeder, new crank seal, fuel filter, and Ls7 clutch kit. I want to give a shout out to Buyavette's performance center for doing excellent work. Really cool guys.

A little background: No power mods yet. The car had been having issues with the clutch sticking and there was a pretty bad leak from the slave cylinder. The clutch fluid was awful when I changed it the first time after buying the car. I think the bad fluid and the fact that I've already put on about twice the cars yearly average of mileage for the car's life in a few months contributed to the problems.

Initial Impressions:

I cannot believe how easy the ls7 clutch is to use. Way easier than the ls1 clutch was since I've had the car. (Probably tells you the condition of my stock clutch) I expected it to be heavier, since the c6z has 505hp out of the box. Feels like it came on my c5. The car shifts smoother than it ever has. My low speed hesitation is gone. I am very happy with the upgrade.

I haven't noticed any difference with the increased weight of the clutch disc and flywheel. Still in the break-in period though. I will provide updates once I can really get on it.

I recently got the same set up. I'm only 100 miles into my 500 mile break in, but it feels pretty good so far.

I have been running 1 for several years and have had zero problems, at the rwtq level im running, slicks would probably do it in, but for street tiresit is great. I forgot that it was there after i got use to it engaging closer to the floor.

One of the most street friendly clutches out there. I dont really take my Z06 to the track much, but it holds fine with a H/C/I/bolt-on setup with the C5's.

Nitrous... Thats another story. I regret my decision now, just because I know the cars making too much power for the clutch. 540rwhp/590rwtq with spray..

Great clutch for basic/cam setups though. You'll enjoy it.
