The part that hangs down should be twoards the front of the car.
I have a stock cover, but I bought a nice one from Mid-America with the C5 logo and the flap is towards the front. It just hangs down at the seperation at the seat backs ? Mine never gets jammed in anything ? It just goes up and down.

Then I feel like a real Jackwad....When I bought the car the previous owner warned me about it and it has been tormenting me forever.....
Don't feel bad, sometimes the PO know less than you think about their cars. The gentleman that I purchased my 50thAE coupe from did not even realize there was a cargo net and cargo cover for his car until we opened the middle storage compartment and lo and behold, there they were in the original pleather case!
He only had the car for 8 years so I guess he never got around to looking for it.

I will flip it around tomorrow......Thanks guys!
There's no fault, and there's no stupid question. I've been here a long time and we here are here to help you or anyone who needs a little C5 clarity. Please never be ashamed to ask anything. This place is filled with some really great people.
Funny thing is that I was thinking about turning mine around to put the hanging flap at the back.
I usually have the windows open and with it hanging at the front the wind catches it and it flaps around and bothers me. I was thinking about turning it around, or putting some weights or tie downs on the front, or making a partition.
I had the same problem when I got mine. Always getting caught in the hatch. I went to a car show and saw another C5 with his installed right, and it was like, DUH, that makes a lot more sense.

Same here........when I bought the car from the PO I was disappointed that there wasn't a cargo cover, and was all ready to order a new one. On the second day I explored the rear compartments and found the unopened pouch with the cargo cover and cargo net.
And don't feel bad mastervtech, I installed it "backwards" the first time. I couldn't understand the purpose of the flap at the back and it took me another day before I realized I had it installed backwards and it's purpose was to hang down and hide the contents of the cargo area from prying eyes when looking rearward from the front seats.

I hate that too. I was thinking about maybe stitching some velcro onto it and putting some on the cargo bottom.
I can't remember if it touches the floor or not though - it was so damn annoying flapping around I took mine out. I like how it covers everything with it in there, but the flapping is way too annoying.
I have a 2001 coupe, I have and use the shade, but I don't see any attachment points for the cargo net. My Vert has hangers, but not the coupe. .Anyone got a picture?
