Hello all...
I am looking into doing some repairs to the C5...the front fascia cover has a couple of cracks near the fog light area...I was wondering if this fascia is the plastic or is it SMC also? The cracked area seems to be hard smc while the other areas of the bumper seem standard plastic. Will one of those kits you can buy at the auto store fix this? I am confused as to if it is urethane or not.
Also, SMC body filler...is there such a thing? I have many many many rock chips in my black hood and some are fairly deep...more than a touch up paint product would handle. I would like to paint myself but I will need to address this aspect of it...meaning what do we use for filler. I have googled and googled and really need it spelled out for me. I am having trouble connecting the dots on this.

One of the hot rod shows did a piece on using primer filler and specifically used on hood dings. Looked like a good way to do smaller dings and dents.
