The 2003 Anniversary Model C5 comes with an abundance of "50th Anniversary" emblems. They're on the ignition key(s), on the Handbook, on the pouch that holds the Handbook, on the Instructional CD, on the speedometer, on the Tachometer, on the hood, and on the truck lid.
The 2003 Anniversary Edition C5 also has them on the front fenders and embroidered on the headrests.
I like the fender emblems and was going to put these (grossly expensive) items on my front fenders (I know, I know, there are some purists out there who say that is sacrilege!) But then I decided to place them on the roof pillar.

I like the look of the 50th emblems too - I put three of them on my electron blue coupe. I got lucky and found a forum member selling two of the emblems (minus the double sided tape) for $75 and then bought a third one from RPI Designs for right at $110. Here's where I put mine:
Vetteman, looks good, and the gold 50s blend with the body decals.
I've seen the Anniversary emblems as high as $215 each, most are $199, or $189. I got mine from Performance Corvette for $125. Still expensive, but bearable.
They would look better on the front fenders in my opinion.
jrose, yes, I'm sure GM thought so too. I almost put them there. I spent a long time trying them in several positions but ended up really liking them on the roof pillar. (They look better in person)
Some 03's came with them already on the front fenders, that weren't anniversary editions. My MY is one of them.
avettelovertu, I have heard rumors but never had complete proof, like yours. My guess is that the very first batches had them and then there was a change of "policy". Or maybe the supplier couldn't keep up with the production and they ended up just putting them on the Anniversary Editions.
This is I think an official GM promotional picture, and it plainly has the fender emblems.

Did you buy your car new? If so, that is the first time I've heard of the emblems coming on an '03 from the factory other than on the AE model that year. If your's came with them from the factory, then that's pretty .
And to the OP - I agree, the price for these emblems is .
