speaker grill

Default speaker grill
I have a 04 conv and my leg rest agenest the left speaker grill in the left door and it has discolored the grill. How do I get the grill off the panel to refinish it? It is metel, maybe alum. . Thanks for any help. Tom

You have to remove the door panel and bend back a few tabs on the back of the grill.

be sure to use a flat paint, notice it is not glossy when you look at it closely.

That's something I've noticed too. Whenever I get a little feisty on some curvy roads, the grill will flex with my leg pressing against it. Hope I don't fatigue it to the point of breaking.
