I want to upgrade my seats to the corbeau a4's and curious to know what my stock seats are worth. They are mint condition black leather zo6 seats.
Thanks
I know how much the new seats are going to cost, just trying to see how much I could get out of these. I figured someone on here would know a ball park figure of what a fair price for these would be. I've owned the car for over a year now but just registered here the other day. There is so much info and nice people here.
Thanks in advance for any info

The a4's are going for around 1100.00 for leather and all hardware. So if I sold these for 500.00 then that means 600.00 out of pocket. Are they worth it?

That's very good advise! Why can't a company make a excellent seat for a good price? I mean what's a seat consist of; a little metal, plastic, foam and cloth or leather. I guess the good ole days are gone.

YES YES YES AND YES. I upgraded from stock to A4's about 3 months ago and I have not had a single regret. I've kept my factory seats incase the next owner wants them instead of my corbeaus but man- it was money well spent.
Good point, I sometimes forget people care about things like comfort . Even with the stock seats I tend to sit in a vertical racing position all the time, all the really cool kids with their sits far back with one hand on the wheel and their hats sideways make fun of me : .
The cobra is a nice seat for strictly racing, but since it doesn't recline I wouldn't think it would be as good for a street car
Just my opinion, but adjustable back angle is not necessary in a proper driver's seat. I've been sitting in Sparcos for nearly 15 years and about 5 years in a 1 piece bucket in my Z06. Once you get the seat to the angle that's right for comfortable performance driving you're not really going to be adjusting it anymore, especially in a car that doesn't need the seatbacks to come forward to access anything important. Sliders yes, you want those but a 1 piece is just fine for street use. A 1 piece generally has more aggressive bolstering as well as being lighter and the pass throughs are properly placed for harness use, all good things.

I had the A4s in my old E39M5 track car and they are great for tracking the car, but if you have wide shoulders your shoulders will start to feel "crunched" and ache after a while. Also, with a helmet on, you may find the A4 backs tilt your head forward and down a little, if you are tall. What's good for the track might be a pain if you drive your car regularly. As everyone has said, sit in them before you buy them. I switched to the Recaro VX seats on the M5 that I found a good deal on EBay on but I'm not sure they would fit in the Corvette because they are wider in the seat and back than the A4s.

I totally agree with you janky about never adjusting the seat after you get it where you want it. But for me I think I want more support than the factory seat but still retain the factory options like reclining and flipping forward. later on down the road I can always sale the seat and switch to a one piece.
I bought a pair earlier this year. Overall I'm happy with A4's but I don't care for the quality of the leather at all. Another thing I really wish I would have had done is get the shaved baces and I'm only 5'10". The added support is their best quality. If you have the room to store the stock seats I would keep them incase you don't like the new seats and for resale because the A4's will limit the audience.
So would you go with cloth then? I think what ever seat I buy I will def keep the factory seat. I don't think I'll sale the car but you just never know. Even if I didn't, years down the road I would have a mint condition seat of factory zo6 seats

GMz06...
I just purchased my A4's two weeks ago.. recieved Friday, installed Friday evening.. I am
6'1 215... waist is 34-36 at any given time. Fairly broad shoulders,, Not a BIG guy, but not lanky either. I really like my A4's... got mine with the shaved base, dual lockers. Takes some effort to move back/forth only because they are snug in the **** pit. It does transform your car to a **** pit... The seats totally conform to my body, support m lower back, rest my head.. I did the washer mod to give my seats a little tilt.
Like you and others,,, i was sceptical and apprehensive. Also like others i am wishing i would have done this long ago! In a word... i like em... and it is money well spent. here is one ****** pic... Will take more this evening. Like everyone else.. this is merely my .02.
I too am selling my Mod/Red seats... Great shape... other than one of the tracking rails being broke. I am asking $400....
