Default Doing research. SO much conflicting info. iPhone in car: What do I need to buy?

Every thread I read is different. Even on sellers websites the language is not clear. All I want to know is what I need to buy for my car. I do not have a rear disc changer, only one CD in-dash 2000 c5.

Thanks

I'm interested in the $10.00 mod you're talking about. I have a standard head unit with no CD changer. How can I get my iPhone hooked up for only $10? Or is that if I buy an aftermarket head unit? I don't want to pay for a whole new unit.

There is some things one just doesn't do on the forum.Don't criticize a vendors pricing on the forum, It is them that have helped a lot of members and also to supply free info to those that need it along with helping support the forum. If you don't like the pricing just move on, No need to be a tool about it.

I believe your so called Autumn sale your pioneers head units are ranging from what 600 to 1000 shipped
Then having someone install the unit another what 250.00
Yea is he would have to change the unit then I my opinion you sir would cost a fortune

If your talking to me...
you better re read his first post telling us he does not have a cd changer. Which tells me he has a stock radio. Meaning he wanted the kit to install to a stock radio which is only 89.99
He never said anything about changing out the radio.

Hey guys, dumb question, but can I use my iPhone's apps like Pandora or would I be tied to just the mp3's with the double d mod?

Had a Kenwood DVD player before i picked up the new iPhone 5. New iPhone rendered iPod out feature useless so i couldnt control my iPod from the screen. Plus connecting my iPhone via USB rather then the 30 pin connector (adapter not available at the time) caused my lightning cable and headunit to short out for some reason. I already hated the sound quality with the PAC adapter so it was an easy decision to go back to the stock bose. The sound quality is good enough for me.

Just installed this Mod from DoubleD yesterday plus a phone mount from proclipsusa (best phone mount EVER btw) for my iPhone 5. Needed the lightning-30 pin adapter from apple to make it work. Looks a lot cleaner with the tiny lightning connector rather then the 30 pin. Also disconnecting and connecting the lightning cable is a breeze compared to the typical locking 30 pin.

Plays all audio from HBOGO, Sirius XM, Pandora, iPod video, ESPN. You can skip songs in the ipod, pandora and spotify with the seek buttons also. I rotate my mount horizontally to watch video, wide screen navigation, watch the live video feed streaming from my GoPros.

I am extremely pleased with this setup. You should definitely check it out. Dont forget the mount! It's REALLY worth it.

I just found a company that will take your existing radio and install an aux plug adaptor in the faceplate and install Bluetooth as well. When you receive a call your music will stop and you can answer your phone through your stereo. You can still use your CD player or cassette deck. I'm still working out the details on price and turn around time. I am not affiliated with this person at all. I'm just reporting options.
