Default Carbon-Look Headlight Bezel

I have been searching in vain for carbon-fiber look headlight bezels for my 2001.

Considering that there is seemingly a real or carbon look part for just about everything on the Vette, I find it hard to believe these do not exist.

I stumbled upon someone selling a chrome cover (which I don't want) and it appears to be on top of the carbon-fiber type of bezel I am looking for (but alas, they don't sell it):

Any suggestions?

What is this witchcraft?!?!

Looks like about $100 for a kit online, wonder how it would work on a surface like this though since it has 90o bends. In the youtubes they are usually dipping relatively flat faced items. Will definitely research though, thanks!

I thought about the same thing when I installed my ACA HID headlights. Then I thought that no one would really see the bezel since it would be a night when the lights were up.

However, if I came across a nice looking CF set at a reasonable price, I would probably give them a try.

I did it on mine, hydrocarbon. Final product was good but not a lot of "pop". I´m flying back home now, will post pictures tomorrow.

I believe cost was around $100 for both bezels.

Exactly. That makes 2 reasons to skip such a modification:

1) Will never be seen.

2) Fake carbon-fiber = poseur.

IMO people are a lot more likely to see that as you pull up to a club or restaurant in the evening than the carbon-fiber parts I have under the hood.

After all, how often do you pop open your hood compared to raising your headlights? Real reason is embarrassing though... woman "cleaned up" when I had the part sitting on the kitchen chair, and its vanished (possibly intentionally, or I'll find it in the back of some cabinet in the living room two years from now, heh).

Figured it was as good an excuse as any to upgrade from the cheap looking plastic if something were available and reasonably priced.

Indeed he can...he did a set for me a while back...turned out really good. Subtle and not always seen, but I like it.

Nice! How much would it be to do a set of 2 in a light or dark carbon fiber?
