Finally got to the Dragon. What a drive! The first time was all concentration, and after that it was much more fun. Place is really busy and a magnet for bikes. Some of them really go like you know what. But my wife and I had a good time, met some nice people, and helped the economy. After the Dragon we drove over to the NCM. My second time there and not as I had expected after the remodel. We then drove up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and drove from Hillsville to Roanoke. Really a nice drive. Not much traffic and we just mosied (I like that word) along enjoying the scenery. Trip was great and the vette averaged 29.98 mpg for the 1,940 mile trip. Here's some pics.
I'm a very old newbie. (We used to call them FNG's. ) Almost cherry (Yeah, right. )
So...what's the "Dragon?" Or, I guess, where's the "Dragon?"
And I am absolutely inspired by your graphics. Who, what, where, how,...etc.
Thanks for the great pictures and the info to come.
Best Regards,
Gunny John
It's a little bit of curvy road down in southern Tenn near Ga line that folks like to try out their sporty cars and bikes. My grandson is after me to take him down there and drive it.
This is "the most photographed spot on the blue ridge parkway."
Somewhere by Grandfather Mt/Linnville I think but you can look it up as noted above I believe.
