OBX Racing axle back......oops
Well, I ignored all the warnings and the posts about staying away from OBX. Here are my observations.
Cons
1.) Fitment - sucks
2.) Clamps that come with it - crap
3.) Gaskets - not in the package
4.) Construction - Horrible
5.) Welds - barely acceptable
6.) Alignment after assembly - Way off
7.) Flanges on over the axle pipes - full of manufacturing burrs in the bolt holes
8.) Overall quality - Junk
Pro's
1.) Good Price
2.) Sounds good and absolutely no drone
Fortunately my best friend owns a service center and with a welding machine and a port-a-power we were able to get it all fit up and straightened out. So if you have 2 1/2 hrs and a friend with a repair shop by all means purchase this junk. Or pony up for a quality exhaust that fits good and should only take about 30 minutes.
Just thought I would pass this on if you are considering buying a set of these. I mean for me $400 and 2 1/2 hrs it was worth it because they do sound pretty nice. Yet I was aggravated but I was pretty sure that it would go the way it did. Pain in the A$$
