Quick question. I recently had the glass portion of my side mirror pop off. Luckily nothing broke because the two wires that hook to the heater bars stayed attached and I was able to catch it before anything really bad happened.
I need to glue/stick/adhere the glass back to the plastic backing of the side mirror. Any recommendations on what to use? I did a search on the forum and saw something about using a high temp, 100% silicone adhesive. Any thoughts on a name brand? Any tips on how to get this back on without 1) breaking the mirror and 2) getting it attached enough that it won't fall off the next time I drive down a the cobblestone streets in Richmond?
Because that mirror has some electrical circuits, you'd probably want to use Dow Corning's low VOC silicon adhesive that is safe for electronics. I no longer work where we used it, so I can't tell you the number, sorry.
