Default C5 tire problem

Bought a used(55k mi) C5 conv. last Dec. Had a set of GYeagles on. One blew out on the interstate. Got new a set of Nitto55d's. Like them. Problem is one keeps loosing air when driving. Sitting in garage OK so far. Had it checked completely. Can't find an answer. Must be crack in wheel ????? Thanks for any help..

If you haven't done so already, you should post this in the 'C5 Tech' section.

My thoughts? Could be bad valve stem, a bad mounting job, damaged rim from the blow-out, or you could have picked up a nail or screw in the new tire.

Good luck!

bad valve stem, or possibly just a lil corrosion on the wheel bead area. Have it dismounted at a real tire shop. Theyll have wire brushes they can run around the bead and theyll have a sealant for it as well and it should fix you right up

A good tire repair shop should be able to locate and fix the problem.

Agreed with a bad stem or bead. make sure the shop wire wheels the bead and uses a bead sealer and youll be set.

Default Could Be The Rim!

A couple years ago I had the same slow leak problem - turned out it WAS a cracked rim. Might be time for a new one!
