Took the 'vette out to a restaurant today to take advantage of the free meals offered to veterans and after, decided to take a spin through the countryside and a spirited dash back on the freeway since I'd only been using the car to get me to work and back for awhile now.

When I drove in my driveway, I stopped short of the garage and cut the engine so I could get out and raise the door. After pulling in to the garage I got out and noticed a small pile of leaves laying just under the front of the car. Also, there was another small pile of them laying where I had stopped before pulling into the garage.

Good thing I installed one of those screens on the radiator opening or those would have been jammed up next to the radiator!

I guess I have a lot of negative pressure in that area now that I've installed the Callaway Honker and my fans temps have been lowered and they seem to run ALL THE TIME (even in 40 degree weather).

I don't usually name vehicles but, I think this car has just acquired it's nickname....HOOVER!

Thanks for your service to our country. You deserve more than a free lunch. We travel down around your part of Tenn often in our motorhome and my mother in law raves about the antiquing around you area.

You've got to check the front radiator area often - these things do suck up the debris quickly. I just cleaned a few leaves out from the radiator area on mine.

I noticed the same thing after I installed my Honker. Definitely sucks of more stuff than than the OEM intake.

I also installed the screen from Elite Engineering and it has really helped. A little pricey, however high quality and pre-formed. It really helps keep out the junk.
