All I did when I installed mine was raise the front end up, Remove the 2 access panels under the front end and have a ratchet with a good swivel and sockets, It took me maybe 45 mins total.

Beautiful car, Rich. I just ordered and received a set of the exact same light kit from CorvetteMods, it's great to have a preview of what they will look like.

BTW, what size and make of wheels do you have? And what tires are you running? They fit the car like a glove.

Thanks !
I got my clear corners off Ebay.
I'm not sure where to find out in your state.
I found this link for TX which states that its ok to have "white" front turn signals.

http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/RSD/VI/lighting.htm
Click on - Clear Tail Light Lenses... then scroll down to turn signal.

Hope this helps

Mr. Bill - so you have amber LEDs behind the front corner clear reflectors correct?

My son purchased mine from Corvette Mods as a recent Christmas gift. We just installed them tonight. Did it the same way as Mr. Bill, the big PIA was the brake air duct. The LED switch backs work great. The problem now is they make my stock headlights and fog lights look ancient. So I guess I'll be upgrading both, however, I'm looking just for LED bulbs and not a HID conversion to replace my fogs. As for the headlights, I'm looking at Corvette Mods Projector Lens and HID conversion, as well as RadioFlyer's Bi-xenon ACA Projector Headlights. Still a little confused on the best way to go on the headlights.

thanks Mr. Bill, Toque (high praise, indeed), Charles and the rest.....

Neil as well as the other vendors ive dealt with here are top notch.

a friend of mine is about to pull the trigger on the entire setup as well
after seeing mine.

as for the install, i went the way Mr. Bill posted.....didnt have to raise the car, but prolly wouldn't have hurt lol. i removed the corner air dam pieces and the access doors (seven 7mm screws/side IIRC) and reached up in the cavity. since the car is so low, i had to just "feel" my way around, but there are two other 7mm screws near each end of the lens that need to be removed, 1/4 turn the bulb connectors from the lenses and then remove the lens. reverse the process and your good to go.

one thing i WILL mention re: the switchback bulbs is you have to fully seat them into the sockets. after i took the posted vid, the passenger side was acting intermittently and i had to take them back out to check. i noticed on the driver's side that the bulb was "farther" in to the connector. so i tried the original amber bulb and noticed it seated farther into the connector as well. so i reseated the pass. side, giving it a little extra "push" and they've been flawless since.

as for wheels, Charles, they are CCW T-10's (John, Chip, Melissa, etc. are another great vendor), 19 x 10 and 20 x 11's wrapped in Michelin PS2's, 275-30-19's and 305-25-20's.

good luck and post pics.

Actually, I had a 10mm on one end of the light and a 7mm on the other end that had to be removed to extract the whole light assembly. There is also a spring at the top that has to be removed, but don't take it off where its connected to the front fascia. Makes it easier when reinstalling. Also, to remove the bigger of the two bulbs, you have to squeeze a plastic clip while turning the bulb.

I had the same thing happen to me, if you don't push the Led bulbs in all the way, and its hard to do while you're laying under there, the bulb would light up white, but not switch over to amber with the turn signal on.

Thanks for the great pics and the detailed explanations. You've sold me! Tremendous upgrade even when shut down in daylight. Great car!

And to date Neil and his company have been great from ordering to delivery in every instance.....thanks, Neil.

So, it took awhile to figure out the best way to get the old lenses out, but after taking my time, here are the results:

Also ended up going to the Good Guys Autumn GTG in Pleasanton this past weekend and took a few shots. Keep in mind, i have NO eye for good photography :

Very nice! What did you do to correct LED hyperflashing? Did you install a hyperflash harness?

I just ordered the lights, lenses, and resistors on Friday from Corvette Mods. My understanding is that the front turn signals may be either yellow or white in California and that the DRL's may be white or yellow, but that the front side marker lights MUST be yellow.

My desire is for a California legal bulb system that looks like Mr Bill's above. White DRL's, white or yellow front turn signals when activated, and that yellow front side light that makes it all legal.

Also, is it possible to charge me extra for overnight arriving in Calif by Mon or Tues?

Many thanks...
