Planning to install either the A4 or FX1 in my Z06. Do not know which of the seats fits the best or if there is any difference. What seat is preferred by the members here? Thanks,
another vote for the A4s here. It's a tight fit and you've got to switch the passenger seat and driver's seat, but I think you'll find most of us that have made the switch went with the A4s.
I personaly have the A4's. I wanted a seat that reclined and the A4's do it.

Do either of you guys track your cars? I'd be interested to hear how well they hold you in the corners.
I have an A4 driver seat for Track and Autocross events. The seat is way better than the stock Corvette seat for High Performance driving. It will keep you in place like you have not experienced.
Usually spend about a half hour switching the driver seat in and out. It is a tight fit and requires a bit of horsing around to pull the seat out and install the Corbeau seat. Have acquired a second seat belt receptacle for the Corbeau seat so don't need to switch seat belt attachments etc.
I have the A4s and have found they make a huge difference for HPDE - I can focus on driving instead fighting to stay in the seat.
I can't believe that nobody makes an aftermarket seat that is fit directly into a C5. There is a significant market for decent C5 seats, you really should have to swap seats and rig extensions for recliner levers and end up w/a seat that is higher and has limited slide adjustment. Even so - A4s seem to the best deal. (OK - rant over)

There is a big market for that.
I'd like to see a kit where you retain all your C5 seat functions but re-skin it with proper bolsters, wings, and strap holes for high-performance use. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
Thanks for the help. Will go with the A4's. Did my final HPDE for the year this past Sat/Sun and had trouble sliding in the seat.Had read about this but just had it happen to me. Felt like I didn't have complete control of the car. Like the reclining back as I drive my car to the track.
