LS3 525HP crate engine
I had heard of a LS3 480HP crate engine, and then just saw this one

What do you think about this in a C5 with a 6 speed?
Would it make enough vacuum to run the brake booster, would it idle horrible?
I'm sure it still would lose to a C6Z06, but it might be fun!

Maybe this is someone's car here, it says it's the LS3 crate 480HP, with headers, claims 450 wheel HP and 450 wheel TQ

Don't really know the answers to your questions, but it sounds like a very nice engine and one that would surely make the C5 run a lot quicker.

Could someone replace the LS6 in a C5 Z06 with this motor and use the stock computer etc?

Yes, you need a conversion module like the
Lingenfelter TRG-002 , that's what's in my C5 Z06 w/ECS H/C LS3.

Hmm, now I'm wondering if 525 HP is real with just a cam, I did'nt see any mention of better or ported heads.
Now 480 HP sounds right with the cam, and headers, right?

Engine HP is possible, but once its measure at the wheels it will be quite a bit lower.

Thats a nice 525HP motor, and a drop in to our C5's I think.
