I was having a lot of serp belt chirp issues. I bought a Katech tensioner and a new Gatorback belt. The belt chirping is gone, but now I have a resonance coming from the tensioner. At first I thought I had driveline noise, but upon checking its isolated to the tensioner. I installed it to Katech specs.

Check to make sure the tensioner is aligned with the plane of the other pulleys. It's possible (remote) that you'd have to shim it due to other tolerance stacking errors.
OK-for yucks and chuckles put the old belt back on or alternatively get a standard GM belt and see what happens. If it disappears it's the Gatorback belt-my last and best guess.

I'm a firm believer in the "what's changed?" school of thought. You changed two things-tensioner and belt-and created a new problem. Basically it's one or the other part-or both.
