I have heard of Interstate batteries, but have never had one. I know there were many threads about batteries here on the forum and a search should turn up some hits.
Interstate batteries are top notch. I run them in my vehicles. I finally pulled the one out of my 95 truck after 7 years. I only did it because I felt I got my moneys worth and it was still going strong but did not want to chance it any longer. Not bad for a Minnesota vehicle. They have my trust.

I have a Interstate battery in my car, and even after 2 weeks, it fires right up. On the CTEK now for the winter, and is in excellent shape as per the CTEK...
We sell Interstate batteries at my shop and they are trouble free for the most part. BUT they also distribute Optima batteries so thats what I got for my Z. :-)
Interstate batteries are fine, so is pretty much any other properly sized and rated battery that you can get your hands on. Just know that if you go to wally world and buy the cheapest battery that they say will fit, you might not be too happy.
You don't need to buy the most expensive battery out there either.
I had a new Delco installed by the dealer where I bought my car. In West Texas the heat chews batteries up and spits them out. That Delco lasted over 3 years of daily use (pretty good). The new one is from wally world and has been in the car for about 18 months, trouble free. Wal-Mart does non-prorated replacement for a few years, as do most places now. If it dies, you get a new one.
These cars are quirky when it comes to electrical stuff but if you keep your grounds clean and try to pretend that it's just a car, just about any battery will start the car and do it for a long long time.
There are enough legit items to pay the Corvette tax on out there, batteries are NOT one of them.
