I'm looking to replace a key fob that is now killing batteries in a couple of days. I have a 2000 FRC and can't seem to find a fob for under $99. I know there has got to be someone that sells them for less. Does anyone know of a dealer or online seller? Thanks in advance.

I also saw the place that I got my TPMS Sensors from was selling new ones as well, but I don't recall that seller. They were on Ebay and had 4 early C5 tpms for $145 or so (new).
GM just came out with a new fob for all years c5....part #19299230...got mine off one of the gm parts dealer on this forum for around $80-some plus shipping/handling. I'm sure you can also get from your local chevy dealer. Good luck.
If you can solder and have the inclination, you might want to check out THIS THREAD before you spend any money.
I found it hard to believe myself but after years of having a fob that didn't work (and blaming a battery issue) I did the repair a while ago and haven't had any problem with the fob since then.

Can you double check that? According to what I found, that part number is not for "all years C5", but will only work on the 1997 - '00 model years. It just doesn't have the slide-switch on it for the "passive" feature that the OEM '97-'99s had.
Thanks all for your responses. I've kind of been out of the loop for a few days so I will be checking into all of your suggestions. I appreciate you all for the help.
Lone Star is correct. The superceded number for the early cars does NOT have the passive proximety feature. My dealer was able to get me an original one with proximety, by searching existing dealer's stock, but they are NLA from GM. Either way, the above is correct-late model fobs do NOT work on early cars, and buying a used early one may only result in the same problem. FWIW.
I have a never used fob. Bought it for a 2000 C5 that I no longer own. As I remember this is the hard one to find. I just happened to be in Texas and found a GM dealer that had this last one in stock.
Says GM 10432147

Looking to get my $75 back that I paid for it.

So this was the problem. I checked the IC chip and couldn't find a cold solder joint or anything. I put it under the maginifying glass and still didn't see any issues. I decided to go ahead and reheat the solder joint and lo and behold the darn thing started working. I synced it to the car and all is good. Thanks everyone for your suggestions and offers.
