Default 03 Anniversary stats question

I'm putting together our annual club video. This one will feature all the current Corvettes that we have. I'm tagging everyones ride with the appropriate stats and we have 3 '03's in our club (2 red, 1 black). My understanding is that only the anniversary red colour are actually the official edition even though they all have the special logo. Is this correct which would mean that the black '03 is just an '03?
Is there a website that clearly states this fact?

Based off the 1st 2 lines I would say only the AR colored ones are officially the 50th anniversary ones

http://www.corvettemuseum.org/specs/2003/index.shtml

A golden tribute
The 50th Anniversary Special Edition, available only during the 2003 model year on coupe and convertible models, is a tribute to a half-century of automotive leadership. It includes special Anniversary Red exterior paint, specific badging, Shale interior and champagne-painted anniversary wheels with special emblems. It also features embroidered badges on the seats and floormats, padded door armrests and grips and the convertible features a Shale top. The package includes Magnetic Selective Ride Control.

There are the 2003 Corvette "50th Anniversary" cars and then there are the 2003 Corvette "50th Anniversary EDITION" cars, the latter sporting special badges and the distinctive combination of Anniversary Red exterior paint with shale interior. At least that is my understanding.

The 50th Anniversary Edition (RPO 1SC) was a $5000 option but was still a very popular car with 4,085 coupes and 7,547 convertibles made. Over half of the entire production run of convertibles were the Anniversary Edition cars

The total was 11,632 and was about 1/3 of the total 2003 production run. But the option was not available on the Z06.

Exactly. I went shopping for an AE Red Z06 and had to "settle" for Electron Blue. I love my car, but AE Red would have looked the business!

All 2003 Corvettes in the standard colors of Torch Red, Black, Quicksilver Metallic, Spiral Gray Metallic, Electron Blue Metallic, Speedway White, and Millennium Yellow are 50th Anniversary MODELS.

The 2003 Coupes and Convertibles made with the Anniversary Metallic Red exterior paint, and the Shale two-tone interior were 50th Anniversary EDITIONS. They came standard with Magnetic Selective Ride Control.

The 2003 50th Anniversary EDITION coupe was $48,475
The 2003 50th Anniversary EDITION convertible was $55,375

A similarly equipped 2003 50th Anniversary MODEL coupe was $47,665 (1SB plus Mag Ride and Special wheels) So the 50th Anniversary EDITION coupe exterior and interior coloring was a bargain at only $810.

A similarly equipped 2003 50th Anniversary MODEL convertible was $54,565 (1SB plus Mag Ride and Special wheels) So the 50th Anniversary EDITION convertible exterior and interior coloring, plus shale convertible top was similarly a bargain at $810.

If a buyer of a 2003 50th Anniversary MODEL vehicle added all the options.......memory package $175, Floor mats $25, BSMs $150, Dual roof package $1200, Electromatic mirrors $120, Mag Ride $1695, Performance axle $395, Polished wheels $1295 and Remote 12 CD $600 They could easily have a vehicle that cost much more than a lesser optioned 50th Anniversary EDITION vehicle. (Of course if the same options were added to an Anniversary EDITION vehicle it would still cost $810 more......basically the bargain price of the exterior and interior colors)

All 2003 50th Anniversary MODELS have special 50th anniversary emblems on the nose, the rear deck, on the speedometer, on the tachometer, on the ignition key(s), on the owners manual pouch, on the owners manual itself, and on the notepaper inside the pouch.
Additionally, the 2003 50th Anniversary EDITION vehicles have 50th Anniversary logos embroidered on the seat headrests, and have 50th Anniversary emblems on the front fenders.

Despite the fact that 7,547 Anniversary EDITION convertibles and 4,085 coupes were sold, they still command a strong retail value.

Hope this helps.

Wow!
Thanks for all that info!
I kinda figured that was the case. It's just the special logo that threw me off because it was on all of the '03's sans Z06. My '88 is also classed as a 35th Anniversary year but only the Special Editions got the badge and interior enhancements - hence mine's just an '88!

Thanks again!
