Default Removing Ebrake Boot without taking apart console?

I just ordered new leather boots for my shifter and ebrake and while I know how to install both I was just wondering if you can install the ebrake boot without having to take apart console. That would be much easier. Thanks

You have to remove it due to bolts under the console that hold the boot in

Could I possibly just rip it off the bolts? It sounds bad but it just don't want to take out the console and risk messing something up or braking it.

Just take it off. Its easy. Be carefull and don't force anything and you'll be fine. People break things when the try to force it.

There is a wire reinforcement in the perimeter of the boot. Ripping it, would probably be a challenge, unless the boot is dry rotted.

You would probably only have to remove the rear section of the console to gain access. It's only four nuts - two at the back of the storage area and two under the tombstone. It's not a big deal. Just don't forget to plug in your fuel door release when you put it back together and Bob's your uncle!

Just take the console off, it's easy. There's plenty of writeups on how to do it.

I would just take the console loose - it is not difficult at all and there are excellent instructions on the Vette Essentials web site. If you were close by I would be glad to help you do it. Done mine a number of times.
