Hello C-5 owners can some one explain how to remove and to replace the headlight sensor on top of the dashboard. My automatic light sensor is no longer working.

That center grill is just lightly pressed in. Use a tool that doesn't damage the dash (a credit card will do) and just pry it up. Be careful of the louvers, they are delicate and easily cracked if you flex them too far, so prying from the outer edge is best.
I would also take care to be certain that the small wire harness doesn't drop back down into the dash area when you disconnect it from the sensor. I heard someone say they tied a piece of wire or long string around the wires first before unplugging. I think the sensor is just a twist-to-unlock type mounting in the grill. Pretty easy to remove.

I agree, it's always a good thing to familiarize yourself with something beforehand where possible.
I had mine out a few years ago whan I was doing my HUD installation and there are a couple (of the many) dash pad mounting screws under that vent grill that have to come out when removing the dash pad from the car.
