Good advice on keeping it.
I do agree that it is certainly not so rare as to be worth much more than any other. In starting this search, I wasn't looking for any ego boost, but this does explain why I don't see others like it in my travels.
I refined the search to add 1SC and it took it down to 37 convertibles made. That is with: Quicksilver, Torch red, A4, black top and 1SC. Using just the colors it was 78 made. So, depending on the degree of key search parameters considered, it comes out at between 37 and 78 vehicles. Narrowing it to all build sheet items, it was the only one made, but I am sure that is equally true of many other colors and models out there, so that does't mean anything at all.
This is close enough for government work.
So , now, I'll just drive it and have some fun. At my age, it is faster than I need. I can't imagine having the C6 or ZR1 power! Scrape me off a wall!
The site Woodman300 gave us above is awesome. It sure answered all my questions.

No, his info was dead nuts on and the site pulls
There were 707 TR interior verts made in 2001. 78 of those were Quicksilver Metallic exterior. 37 had TR, A4, black top, Quicksilver and 1SC like mine and 36 others.
What is your exterior color? If Quicksilver, you have one of the 78.
The info is correct and cross references with other data bases.
