HID resister value?

HID resister value?
Who knows what ohm resister is needed for the for HID installation to allow headlights to retract without going to high beams? My vert has HIDs with the resister installed, and I'm going to put them in my coupe soon and I'd like to build my own resister 'package'.

When I went to HID and needed to insure the headlamps reliably opened and closed I found that a 200 Ohm resistor would do it. Naturally a lower value would also work but will generate more heat and thus need to be higher wattage. The 200 Ohm resistor I used looked to me to be about 2W. It was tubular so wattage wasn't marked.

resistors get scorching hot. I have one that came with the HID kit and that one is encased in brass heat sink, and those things will do some branding on the skin. You would be doing some cooking/melting if you don't do it right.
