Hello everyone,
I'm a new vette owner ('97 coupe) and I would like to know if OEM rims (17F & 18R) off a 2002 will fit my 1997. I would assume that they will but would like to have the input of more knowledged vette owners. This request is time sensative so I would love it if someone could respond soon.
Thanks.
PS: Why the hell did I wait until my late sixties to own a vette...I'm in love with it! I think it's better than sex (if only I could remember what that was like)!

Any GM provided C5 rim ( 97 - 04 ) will fit any year C5, including the Z06 rims.

As mentioned above, all C5 years will fit. Many owners of 1997 to 1999 update their wagon wheels with thin spokes from the 2000 to 2004 model years. Keep an eye on the Parts for Sale page and you should be able to pick a set up very cheap. There is currently a set on the Canadian page for $150.

Also, the standard C6 rims will fit, but they are an inch larger all around and therefore you will have to update the tires as well. Again, these are readily available on the c6 Parts for Sale page. The downside of these rims is that the barrels are not polished.

They will fit, just be careful, a lot of the early thin spoke wheels were subject to cracking. There are several posts about that on here. Welcome to the Forum and remember to wave.

I'm still learning a lot here. Thanks. If I were to put C6 rims and tires, on my stock 2003 C5, is there anything else one would need to do? I understand you have to keep the stagger, the fronts a little smaller (1/2 to 1 inch) or so. Anything else need reprogrammed, etc? What kind of ride or noise difference might one expect? Will the tmps still be okay?

Those rims will fit just fine. Any rim from '97-04 will work on any of the C5s.
