Default I need a genius way

Other than spending 150-200 on a front license plate adopter , is there a more cost effective way to do this .. I'm in Texas and it has to be on there
I removed the Bra as many of you requested ... the license plate was just sitting in the cove with the bra keeping it in place ... Texas Suxs

What I would do is mount the plate with Velcro and is you have the cover put Velcro on that also, Quick fix and you can change it in a matter seconds.

Another option is use the factory "U" shaped plate bezel and paint it to match your car, That doesn't look half bad.

Another option is to get the clear factory plate cover and paint the edges from the inside just around the plate area.

Another option and the best in my opinion is move to another state.

stick it in the windshield(on the dash) if..... (when) you're stopped by LEO's..??

I was very happy to leave two-tag Maryland and arrive in one-tag Florida... (with much better choices on the tags, too)

Write the Governor of Texas & tell him to discontinue the front plate.

Actually I would have kept using the bra on the car - sure protects the front end from rock chips.

I use the factory license plate surround - painted body color - on my car - makes running a front plate a lot more tolerable.

And as mentioned, you can get a Show and Go plate holder - they come in either a manual version or a remote controlled version.

I'm one state north of ya. I actually think Texas is a pretty cool state but have never understood the dual tag thingie. You've got some other good things there, like no state income tax, but your real estate taxes suck. Wonder which brilliant politician thought that one up?

^^^That's what I would do. The C5-specific contoured, clear front plate covers look pretty good. A lot better than the C6 options.

I'm surprised with its history of anti big government, that Texas still requires front plates.

I don't run with a front tag. A lot of vette owners dont here in Dallas. In the past three years I have never been stopped for it. Even was stopped for inspection, but the cop didnt mention the front plate at all. I daily drive mine so it see's Dallas, Plano, Richardson, Garland, Dallas and Collin Sheriff's, and highway patrol regularly.

That's what I have. Looks good but you have to take it off to clean it every so often, but much better then just leaving it bare.

I don't run a front tag. Haven't had any issues, but its that one time when a cop want to be a d!ck, and he'll find several things to ticket you on. Most corvettes I see around Dallas don't have front plates though.

Its also technically illegal to put the plate on your windshield, you're not allowed to have a covering or film over your license plate (I got a ticket for that once), which also means the front clear covers are technically illegal also, but I don't think anyone would ticket you for it.

I've seen the plate mounted to the front spoiler. From straight on at a distance the plate is clearly visible. Not so much when up close. Here in Jersey most Vettes don't run the front tag. 11 years with no problems, even when stopped for something else. I have had LEO's tell me they don't care about front tags on Vettes.
