I finally get the "X-Pipe" on tomorrow. I love the sound of my exhaust (XS-Power 2 1/5" cat back). But, I just can not take the popping on rapid decelleration anylonger! Everything I've read says an x-ppe should solve this. If it doesn't then I might be going back to something like aTI Z06 type exhaust. Stay tuned.

When I had my '00, I was running a set of the B&B Route 66 catbacks - lots of drone and popping. Installed a Bassani X-Pipe and better than 95% of those two issues went away.

Personally I love the popping on decel. After install long tubes with an x-pipe, the popping got worse (better IMO). In other words, x-pipes seem to either take away or add popping on decel depending on the rest of your exhaust. Not sure what it will do with your XS.

I have LG streets, X pipe and Z06 Tis and mine does pop a bit still in some deceleration situations, but not excessively. I kinda like it. I did the exhaust all at once so I can't say what individual pieces might have caused what.
