Default I need some knowledge ....

From some of you that have these cars down ,
The splash guards that are now available for the C5 that are replicas of the C6 splash guards , anyway i got mine in today ... Upon reviewing them must say that I am thrilled to have purchased them ,they fit the profile of the car perfectly ..
Here is the million dollar question shouldn't something like maybe a gasket go in between it and the body of the car ? There is no doubt in my mind if there is not something between the two it will scratch the crap out of the car ... Any thoughts from you old school corvette guys would be great.

No gasket.... who cares as long as it fits well. You don't intend to remove them once they are permantely installed?

I might worry if it was metal-to-metal.

You're welcome.

I use Cleartastic alone on the rear without any splash guards.

Mine are from Ecklers. No spacer. Never a problem unless you decide to take them off. But then there are the holes drilled to fasten.
