i boiught this set of c6 wheels off my friends camaro because there was no way of fitting them without modding which he doesnt like to do. the rear tires are 325/30/19 and wouldnt fit on mine either. i just ordered a 1.25" spacer for rears. is that all i need??

I searched the general as well as technical forum as I assume you have, and there's not a heckofa lot- leading me to think that what you're contemplating is no big deal. For a long time, I seem to recall the general knowledge that 'C6 wheels fit on C5s with an inch spacer' - - if it's slightly larger, I didn't remember that part.

The only thing I'd be cautious about in the length of the lug - - one post I read advised that any spacer larger than 1" should use longer lugs- but don't accept that as gospel.

I'm sure there will be more input over the next couple of days- please post any other findings you might discover.

Good luck

Stock C6 rims will fit without issue or modification, but will look better and sit flush with the fender with 1/4" spacers in the rear.
I think the issue you're having is the fact that your tires are 325 width. If those are factory c6 rims, that tire is WAY too wide.

It's a 19x10 a 325 isn't pushing it right?

The spacers are the ones that have studs built in..

Yes, 325 IS pushing it on a 10" rim. Most tire manufacturers list a minimum of 11.5-12" width for their 325 tires. If you want to run a wide tire, do it right and get wider rims. Not only that, but having your wheels stick out an inch past your fender is going to look like crap.

It doesn't look stretched. If the tire pokes a little I'm good with that I like big booty vettes

It's not going to look stretched, if the tire was too narrow for the rim it would look stretched.

A 325/30/19 tire needs a 12 to 13 inch wheel.
Get new wheels or new tires.

I used 1/4" plate spacers on the rears; fronts have the same offset on both the C5 and
C6 and didn't need any spacers.

You don't have to run spacers on the rears either; but it will look kinda weird.

No issues with over 5k miles.

I think your referring to adapters and not spacers. If the studs are already built you should be good to go.

Just because he "never has any problems" doesn't mean it's the correct tire for that size rim.
Then again, you also said there was no way he could fit them on his camaro without modding

I wouldn't push it. I installed rear 19 x 10.5" Cray Scorpions on my '99 coupe last spring. Cray along with my tire folks both said not to go wider then 305 tires with the 10.5". A perfect fit, BTW.

What's the worst that could happen? Can the wheel actually spin without tire spin? Lol
