Default Seat belt schematic or knowledge needed

The switch in my driver seat seatbelt socket is failing...Most of the time when I insert the belt, the dash lamp just flickers....or if it goes out, indicating the belt is buckeled, then it might come on again later. I want to bypass that switch so that the light never comes on, so that the computer just thinks the seatbelt is inserted and fastened. Does anyone have a schematic or wire guide about how that switch is configured? I can pull the seat to gain access to the belt socket, and its associated wiring. What I need to know if it is a 2 wire system that has a switch closure, or a switch to open, or if it is a 1 wire system that uses a switch to connect the one wire to a local ground,[ like the seat frame or bolt that holds the seatbelt] or to lift a local ground .....

Happy Holidays everyone

It is just a 2 wire plug under the drivers seat.
Check its present state with a DMM and either open or twist the wires together to fool the computer but why not just get a new bracket/switch or even used from ebay to make it 'right'?

The seats are very easy to remove to replace the seat belt switch. 4 nuts (5/8" socket) and 1 plug and it is out.

Thanks for the tip....I dont want to restore the switch with a new one because someday the OEM seatbelt system may be going away, and I will have wasted the money for something I do all the time

. I have a set of Shroth Profi 6 point harnesses set aside that are going to go into it someday...after I get a roll hoop installed...Can't do any belt changes unitl I get a hoop installed, as it needs to be there to terminate the shoulder harnesses. I had a cross bar that mounted between the OEM shoulder mount bolts, but it totally interfered with the seat backs, making them sit at what felt like an upright position, so I sold it.

One of these days I'll have a proper roll hoop built or bought that will allow me tip the seats back properly, but in the meantime I am OF COURSE religiously using the OEM seatbelts, and getting tired of the warning lamp coming on....

I might be using the OEM belts for some time to come, and I don't need a stupid light bulb to tell me to buckle up...I don't go ANYWHERE without being buckled up, .not even to move from one driveway to the other, which requires only 80 feet of being on the street.

Belts ON before car moves.......car off and parked before belts off...its just that simple.
Cheers!
