Good morning. Yes they do have them for convertibles. I just put one in mine. I c ant remeber the dealer but they are out there. And yes they do make a difference with some road noise and stereo sound. Hope this helps. Happy New Year.

I am thinking of making one for my vert.. use some cardboard for a template, next some high density styrofoam and contact cement and interior carpet. Test for fit then cover with contact cement and carpet....done. Cost about $45- and time. My thought is alot of noise is coming thru the trunk floor and a dense mat of rubber (yoga/gym) would work excellently. Not proven concepts buy entirely possible. lol. Greetings, Rob

Sounds like a good plan, I will go a craft store for the core & carpet store for a scrap piece of rug for sound absorbent material (rug)
I really doubt you will find "plans". That's the whole point of them selling the part. With plans out there anyone can build it.
I would go with one of the dealers. you can get one for about 120. With the parts labor and headaches of getting it to fit right you will be wishing you just spent the 120 for something made right from the beginning.
The one i bought was pretty heavy, and WELL made. It was not made of Styrofoam. To be honest i don't think that will work well at all. This one was heave, weighed about 10lbs. I think it was made of a mixture of oak and balsa wood like the floors of the corvette.
I just purchased one that is really nice on Ebay from snakeskinner1. Is has a nice 50th anvy logo in the middle. It runs a little over 100 with shipping.
Educate me: Is there a difference between the FRC partition and the vert partition? If not, you could use mine as a template for your craft store project.

Don't know what the difference is can you upload a pic if yours, I would assume the width and trunk floor would be the same, but not sure about the area around the waterfall and convertible lid

Anyways, good luck!.
Wow...learn something every day...never imagined the floors of a Corvette being made of oak and balsa wood........
Vettenuts.net has sold these for a long time now.I have one in my 99 Vert = Luv it.
I also suggest that if you build or purchase one, make sure to utilize the angled, "V-shaped" design. This allows for more storage capacity vs. the straight vertical designs.

I even used mine to mount my fire extinguisher.
It fits like a glove, and also protects the top from any possible cargo damage when it's down.
There was a cad template years ago on here. I made mine and it fits perfect. MDF and carpet from PepBoys. Looks great and works. I'll try and get a photo and post it.

Sorry for the crappy photo the flash bounced off the rear window. The line you see is glare it doesn look that way in person. The emblem is from the rear deck, I know I'm cheap. I cut the partition out and used 3M adheasive and wraped the carpet around and stapled it on the outside so the staples wouldn't show. The glue did smell for about a month then went away. It's held in by compression fit, never had it fall or move. It can be pushed forward to enter the center compartment.
