Maybe I could use one...... I backed into a parking lot street light with a large concrete base around it. The backup sensor I was born with(eyeballs) didn't function cause they were pointed in the wrong direction, when I backed up.
I've had them recalibrated after that last incident.
If you don't want the look of the sensors, you can buy a camera kit with the camera as part of the license frame. They even have wireless remote systems so there is no wiring needed between the camera and the screen. They run about $100 complete.
Interesting... I'm curious if any Corvette guys have used this.
I just send the supplier an email to see if they have installed these on a C5. Front my be too low? I would think the back would probably work for sure. They have one video on their site that shows a bunch of advantages over the ultrasonic sensors...

Good suggestion, Striper! I was quoted more than $200 to fit a $30 4-sensor kit. But simple wireless video systems are easy DIY fit.
I wasn't comfortable with the image of C5 and parking sensors - senior trying to deny my age!
Installed it this weekend. Didn't keep track of the time but probably took a couple hours. Only installed 3 sensors (left/center/right) due to the styrefoam reinforcements inside the bumper. There was nothing behind on those locations.
I already had a rearview camera with a Pioneer radio and the sensors are a nice complement.
