Car show spread

However when I do to to a show I like to show my show poster I made myself because most of my mods are hidden. It details all of the mods on my car. I chose mods that typically "blend" with the rest of the car instead of mods that scream "aftermarket".
This is my show board.
This is where I put it at a show.(See my trunk area)

I took a really nice beachside, sunset pic that showcase my lights that I would like to include in the showboard I eventually build.
I don't attend that many shows either. Too political where I am. Most trophies are given to the group with the most matching polo shirts. Your silver Z06 and my MSG vert would be also rans to the yellow and red stock trophy winners.

Yea its sad that the guys with the most Pep Boys add on crap wins
I don't care though. I go with my friends to see all the custom car's, and meet new friends in the area. Its a 24" x 18" photo in a 24"x18" frame. The frame is plastic from Walmart ($10). I did not want glass around my car.
I first started with a black background 3400x2550. Then I started to overlay my pictures, then added text. Its not overly hard. A little time consuming though. My advice is to save your picture multiple times through the creation process (poster1, poster2, poster3, poster4, etc..). That way if you don't like the direction your going you can go back to a certain step and change things without having to start ALL over from scratch. Been there,,, done that many times.

A 24"x18" photo has an aspect ratio of 24/18= 1.33333
My black background has an aspect ratio of 3400/2550 = 1.33333
My original picture I put down on the 3400/2550 black canvas is 3072/2304. This also has an aspect ratio of 1.33333. I centered the picture on the black background. Then I started re-sizing other pictures to add on top of it.
You must make the aspect ratio of the poster/picture equal the frame size or it will stretch, or shrink the picture when you have it developed at the photo store.
Start out by figuring out what size photo's you camera takes, and the aspect ratio of the pictures. It seems to vary from camera to camera. You can also create a background in 1.33333 aspect ratio, and just drop pics on it as you like regardless of your camera's aspect ratio.
Remember that the bigger the original picture you put down, the better it will look like on a poster when blown up. High res cameras are best of course.
Let me know if I can help with the details.
