Default Convertible leak

I know this topic has been discussed ad nauseum...but I was not able to find answers to my specific issues in a search. I have a 2000 vert...daily driver. I love the car and have been driving it about 350
days of the year. It is taking on water, but I can't find the exact sources...it is only wet in a narrow area of carpet right behind the seats
about 2" from where the carpet goes vertical. The seats are dry, the
rest of the carpet is dry...its just this small area that collects a lot of
water. There is also water in the right rear storage compartment...but not the left one....any insight would be appreciated.

Best advice would be remove all the trim and carpet so you will be able to visibly see where the water is coming in from.
When my vert was leaking last year it was coming in where the front of the tonneau cover meets the quarter panel. It would go under the B pillar/seat belt trim and behind the carpet to under the seat.
Removing the seat and carpet shouldn't take more than 20-30 minutes, then just get someone to spray a hose on the car and you should find your leak.

I have several Word files that discuss water leaks in the C5. Many are too large to post as an attachment here, so if you would like a copy of them, just PM me your e-mail address and I'll send them to you.
