I like the look of the C5 fog lights and am wondering if they could be adapted to my 1974 behind the grilles. I assume it not a straight 12V hookup (needs relays?) but I could be wrong. I had DRLs earlier that ran from the IGN terminal on the fuse box. I had control of those via an LED toggle switch under the dash. Unfortunately the control module burned out and those are gone. But the basic wiring is still in place. Are those C5 lamps just 12V units? If yes, where can they be sourced?
I have always had some form of DRL on my C2s and C3s. The C5 unit looks like a nice choice.
Well my suggestion just purchase a nice set of aftermarket driving lights and there are many to choose from. Some look exactly like stock C5's. If they are to be hidden behind the grill it would not matter what style. In my humble opinion the C5's are not great driving lights anyhow. I see during the summer a C3 running around with a excellent set of driving lights, and it looks great. PS you have a nice Corvette! Greetings, Rob

Rob,
Thanks for the compliment on my C3. My previous DRL system was wired to use the bright filaments of the #1157 bulbs. It worked very well for three years until the module failed. And I now find the company no longer ships to Canada?? Strange marketing strategy.
If there is a C5-like option I would appreciate hearing about it.
I used Hellas on a former 1979 but the 1974 does not have the same grille metal supports for attachment.
Audi-style is my fall-back position but I am not terribly happy with that.
