Not sure what "coup cushions" are. The only thing the mechanic should have done to raise the car was turn the ride height adjustment bolts a few turns. Most likely he just turned it too much for your preference.
No, when I bought the car it was slammed. There were no adjusters (I called them cushions) in front. Since you cannot but just the adjusters he found some and installed them. They are adjusted as far as they can be to allow for a lowered stance. During my search I found some used springs Z06 and Coup springs. The Z06 adjusters seemed thinner The adjusters on the coup springs seemed to have a thicker Head / cushion. What I men by that is the portion that actually rests on the contact point.
From the factory, the lowering bolts have about 1.5-2" of bushing, and you can cut the bushing part to lower the car more. Aftermarket lowering kits have a smaller bushing. You can raise the car or lower it by turning the bolts at the end of the leaf-spring which makes contact with the lower A-arm, and yes you can buy the lowering bolts by themself.

oooh, you mean the bushing on the bolt. As far as I know, it should be the same bolt for Coupe and Z06. If the ones you were looking at were thinner they might have been cut by the previous owner or are aftermarket lowering bolts.
