Trying to replace my carpet
I have done more than a few searches, so if it is here I will aplogize in advance,
how do I remove the door sill trim pieces? Or whatever they are called?

You have to remove the trim piece by the seat belts first, then the door sill trim pieces just pop out, but remember there is a push pin to pop out before at the top of the seat belt trim, then pull up the door sill trim at the rear by the seat belt end, the door sill trim should pop up and then come loose.
