Last month I replaced my Ls1 with a new Ls6 with my son and neighbor. I chose to do removal from the top and followed cajuNdudes write up as a guideline. We didn't get the complete start to finish but did get from removal to installation so just wanted to share how it went removing from the top.
We did the swap in 4 days. That was taking our time labeling connections, cleaning parts, and enjoying some tunes. Once she fired up and had oil pressure, sounded good, and threw no codes, I swear that was the best tasting beer I ever had.
